De leurs rencontres en 1910 o\u00f9 <span style=\"color: #008000;\">COCTEAU<\/span>, vingt ans, est f\u00eat\u00e9 dans tout Paris alors que <\/strong><strong>PROUST<\/strong><strong>, plus \u00e2g\u00e9, finit la premi\u00e8re mouture de la <em>Recherche<\/em>, inconnu du milieu des lettres. Rapports passionn\u00e9s entre deux hommes dont la proximit\u00e9 est \u00e9vidente : m\u00eame curiosit\u00e9 insatiable, m\u00eame d\u00e9sir effr\u00e9n\u00e9 de plaire, m\u00eame besoin de dominer l\u2019autre, m\u00eame courtoisie, m\u00eame rapport maladif \u00e0 la jalousie. Litt\u00e9rairement, des diff\u00e9rences essentielles cependant : <\/strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>COCTEAU<\/strong><\/span><strong> esquisse des silhouettes, chez lui les images d\u00e9filent vite ; PROUST creuse le m\u00eame sillon, se concentre longtemps devant une image qui lui para\u00eet, s\u2019analyse de pr\u00e8s, et construit une<a href=\"http:\/\/www.claude-arnaud.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Transfuge-photo-5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-6710\" title=\"Transfuge photo-5\" src=\"http:\/\/www.claude-arnaud.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Transfuge-photo-5-217x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"167\" height=\"231\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.claude-arnaud.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Transfuge-photo-5-217x300.jpg 217w, https:\/\/www.claude-arnaud.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Transfuge-photo-5.jpg 296w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 167px) 100vw, 167px\" \/><\/a> roman cath\u00e9drale dans la lign\u00e9e du roman du XIXe si\u00e8cle. <\/strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>COCTEAU<\/strong><\/span><strong> et PROUST ont des conceptions tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rentes du roman, ce qui participa de leur \u00e9loignement. Et surtout, selon<\/strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong> Claude ARNAUD<\/strong><\/span><strong>, PROUST qui admira <\/strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>COCTEAU<\/strong><\/span><strong> jusqu\u2019\u00e0 le pasticher, changea d\u2019attitude \u00e0 partir du moment o\u00f9 il fut \u00e9dit\u00e9. L\u00e0, <span style=\"color: #008000;\">PROUST<\/span> devint injuste envers <\/strong><strong>COCTEAU<\/strong><strong>, l\u2019accusant d\u2019\u00eatre frivole.
