MANIFESTE DE MODE<\/span><\/strong>\u00ab\u00a0, qui sera ouverte au public du 01.10.2020<\/strong> au 14.03.2021<\/strong><\/span>. Con\u00e7ues par les Commissaires\u00a0Miren ARZALLUZ<\/strong>, directrice du Palais Galliera, et\u00a0V\u00e9ronique BELLOIR<\/span><\/strong>, responsable de collection, avec pour conseiller artistique\u00a0Olivier SAILLARD<\/strong>, l’exposition court sur pr\u00e8s de\u00a01 500 m2 \u2013 dont de nouvelles galeries ouvertes en rez-de-jardin apr\u00e8s d’importants travaux de restructuration<\/span><\/strong>. Un parcours jalonn\u00e9 de plus de 350 pi\u00e8ces issues des collections du mus\u00e9e GALLIERA<\/strong>, du Patrimoine de CHANE<\/span><\/strong>L, de mus\u00e9es internationaux \u2013 le Victoria & Albert Museum de Londres<\/strong>, le De Young Museum de San Francisco<\/span>, le Museo de la Moda de Santiago du Chili, le MoMu d\u2019Anvers<\/span><\/strong>… – et de collections particuli\u00e8res.<\/p>\n

Le vernissage a eu lieu dans les conditions tr\u00e8s particuli\u00e8res\u00a0impos\u00e9es par la lancinante\u00a0\u00e9pid\u00e9mie de COVID<\/strong> – public restreint, distanciation obligatoire, ni cocktail ni discours. Tous d\u00fbment masqu\u00e9s, les pr\u00e9sents\"\"<\/a> semblaient \u00a0aussi flottants et muets que les mod\u00e8les pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s. L’atmosph\u00e8re de couvre-feu, les \u00e9clairages proches de l’obscurit\u00e9<\/span><\/strong>, la stupeur devant cette forme de vie sociale mutil\u00e9e <\/span><\/strong>c<\/span>ontribuaient \u00a0\u00e0 souligner\u00a0l’aust\u00e9rit\u00e9<\/strong> du travail de Mlle CHANEL<\/span><\/strong>, flagrant d\u00e8s les ann\u00e9es 20.<\/p>\n

Remarquable de sobri\u00e9t\u00e9, le catalogue, GABRIEL CHANEL, MANIFESTE DE MODE<\/strong>, auquel Claude ARNAUD<\/strong><\/span> a particip\u00e9 avec un texte intitul\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0La Libellule et le Taureau\u00a0\u00bb, consacr\u00e9 aux rapports COCTEAU<\/strong>–CHANEL<\/span><\/strong>, ach\u00e8ve d’\u00e9clairer le jans\u00e9nisme<\/strong> foncier d’une cr\u00e9atrice qui vivait la mode comme une asc\u00e8se et mourut \u00e0 la tache<\/span><\/strong>, brouill\u00e9e avec l’univers.
